I am currently working with a leading supplier of construction materials hoping to bring on board an experienced Account Manager focusing on key accounts within the merchant channel.
You principle task will be to effectively develop strategic business relationships within designated key merchant accounts maximising the potential for mutually beneficial and sustainable trading alliances.

Other tasks will include:
• To work closely with the contracts and trading teams to develop and implement the appropriate market strategy to develop the region including implementing a strategic Key Merchant Account selection and review process in conjunction with the Regional Trading Management.
• Building effective working relationships with the key Regional and Head Office contacts within the Key Merchant accounts to ensure you are seen as their number 1 trading partner.
• To manage the Key Account reward scheme whilst developing and displaying it’s benefits to the key partners further developing the ‘Trade up Incentive’ and agree and negotiate standard (yard) price agreements specific to each Key Merchant Account.
• Leveraging relationships between the Key Merchants and their contractor customers to secure long term supply agreements.

You will have previous experience in managing high value Key/National Merchant accounts ideally within the Building/Construction Supplies sector.
