HR Advisor - Wolverhampton - up to £35,000 + car allowance
Our client, a global leader in their field, is going through an exciting period of change and potential growth. As such, they are now looking to appoint an experienced and ideally CIPD qualified HR Advisor to join their team based from offices in the West Midlands but with travel to other sites.
As HR Advisor, you will have responsibility (as part of a team) for your own client group based both in the West Midlands and nationally. As such you will need to build strong and positive working relationships with your key stakeholders to understand their people needs and then translate these into actions. There will be generalist duties of course in the role, which could include anything from ER (disciplinaries, grievance, capabilities etc.) through to queries from managers, however a large part of this role will be to coach and develop managers to help raise their capability. This could include formal training sessions, therefore although a background in training isn't needed, an enthusiasm to get stuck in and do it is.
As you help to support the business as it moved forward there will be opportunities to get involved in HR project work. In fact the Head of HR team has ambitions that could easily keep an army of HR advisors busy! That being said we want to make sure that the basics are being done and done right before we embark on projects, but we'd like to see someone with ideas, passion and enthusiasm for HR with a desire to take the function forward and really make a different to the organisation.
You will ideally be CIPD qualified, with a strong generalist HR background. Experience of multisite locations and varied stakeholder groups would be an advantage. Due to the nature of our clients business, travel will be involved in the role, more so when first starting but should become steadier - around once a fortnight - or more depending on the needs of your client group.
