This is an excellent part time opportunity to join our small, busy Ophthalmic team at the Spire South Bank Hospital in Worcester. You will either be a registered nurse with an Ophthalmic background or nurse looking to train and specialise in this field as full training will be given to the right candidate. The service covers a number of eye diagnostics and treatments including nurse led clinics, anterior segments, retinal squints, glaucoma and surgical and medical retinas. Thus it is a very varied role and full training will be provided if you are willing to learn and cover the hours of the service required. The service runs from Monday to Saturday and you will usually work 5 hour shifts on set days organised up to 6 weeks in advance.Our modern hospital has a full multi-disciplinary medical team onsite. There they practice some of the most advanced treatments on the latest generation imaging and diagnostic technology. This means we can offer everything from screening and rehabilitation through to leading edge surgical procedures and excellence in specialist fields like Orthopaedics, Cardiology and Cancer Care.
