Account Manager

Location: Birmingham

A leading service provider with a global presence has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Account Manager to join their organisation and look after a client within corporate services.

The position will be to deliver both hard/soft FM to a large portfolio of corporate office space and will require the candidate to be within commutable distance of Birmingham, as 1/2 days a week will be spent in the clients HQ here.

In return my client is offering a salary of up to £45,000 + a competitive corporate package & excellent career progression.

Summary of role

·Management responsibility for several different service lines; including fabric maintenance, cleaning and security

·Overview of P and L for the account

·Operates effectively in a complex organisation where there are conflicting demands on time and resources

·Establishes excellent working relationships with appropriate client contacts

·Establishes excellent working relationships with external contractors

·Works with minimal direct supervision; resolves complex operational problems

·Co-ordinates all operational resource to deliver operational effectiveness

·Proactively and professionally maintains client relationships, whilst delivering superior customer satisfaction at all times

·Ensures compliance with all company programmes, processes and procedures

·Identifies opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness

·Escalates any major issues appropriately

·Supports the recruitment, retention, motivation and development of the team

·Manages performance of their team against clear objectives and expectations

·Engages the HR team to ensure that best practice appropriate to the needs of the business is applied across all site operations

·Builds team dynamic through training, support, development, and attaining buy-in from staff

·Can develop strong relationships with key operational contacts and can deal effectively with them

·Has a broad awareness of the P & L of their building and how this sits in the overall account

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:

·Able to build team dynamic through training support, development.

·Can develop strong relationships with key operational contracts and can deal effectively with them.

·Possesses proven operational management experience, ideally in a clue chip environment.

·Is numerate and financially aware.

·Possesses excellent Microsoft office knowledge.

·Exceptional planning and time management skills.

·Proven staff coaching skills.

·Demonstrates abilities in supplier contracts negotiation.

·Experience of working with internal systems.

·IOSH qualified

·BIFM

·NEBOSH

·BICS
