Nationwide consultancy is looking to appoint a ground Investigation Engineer to join their Geo-environment / Geotechnical teams across the west midlands to work on major rail and energy to waste schemes.

Depending on previous experience, you will be responsible for the management of site investigation works, including costing and procuring work from sub-contractors, dealing with suppliers and preparation of health and safety documentation.

You will be logging soil and rock in accordance with BS5930:2015, Amendment 1, BS EN ISO 14688 and BS EN ISO 14689, producing factual reports and supervising site investigations across the UK. The ability to work on own initiative without support provided from more experienced staff will be required.

Job specifications
*You will have a first degree or equivalent in geology or equivalent
*Must have at least 3 years experience in the organisation and supervision of a variety of size and types of site investigations, minimum having managed site investigations of up to £25k and assisted on site investigations up to £250k.
*A good knowledge of health and safety requirements
*Although not essential PTS qualified, with rail experience and MOD security clearance would be desirable but not essential.
