We have an outstanding opportunity for a Supported Housing Scheme Manager to oversee the successful operation of our Princethorpe Court Housing Scheme in Coventry, West Midlands. In return we offer a highly competitive salary, circa £38,000, plus excellent benefits.

This is a hands on management role where you will need to lead from the front. Highly motivated with a can do attitude, you will take overall responsibility of all aspects of life at the Scheme, from working with leaseholders and tenants, to managing a dedicated multi-disciplinary team, and developing a vibrant community - all to the high standards of care and hospitality that we have become known for. The care levels within this Scheme are varied with some high level care needs coupled with independent living.

You will be responsible for running the Scheme as a 24/7, 365 day operation. Initiative and problem solving are second nature to this role as there will be no two days the same where you are accountable for a range of facilities and services in a regulated environment. You will be required to become the ‘Registered Manager’ for Care Quality Commission (CQC) purposes and to achieve the QCF Diploma Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care.

You should have experience within a fast paced sector and possess a strong customer service ethic, including experience managing relationships with customers from a variety of tenures. You should demonstrate strong leadership qualities with an excellent track record of people management in terms of staff, volunteers and the community. Financial acumen is also vital in this position as you will be responsible for the budget for the Scheme, as is an ability to inspire and motivate.

Communication skills are paramount; you’ll be required to deal with a variety of people at different levels, from liaising with Local Authorities and a variety of stakeholders, to residents, to handling any issues or complaints with consistency and professionalism.

Founded in 1988, ExtraCare is a registered charity based in Coventry. It operates 3,848 homes within 14 retirement villages and 17 smaller housing schemes. Each village or scheme has 5 to 18 social, health and leisure facilities that are accessible to more than 4,400 residents 3,000 volunteers and local people representing all age groups living in surrounding communities. ExtraCare’s 60 Charity Shops help fund care and well-being services for older people living in its villages and schemes.

Experience in a care background is preferable for this role at Princethorpe Court.
