We are looking to recruit a Goods Inwards Support Operative to support Goods Inwards department by FLT transport of customer goods to and from delivering vehicles to the production goods inwards storage area.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

  • To transfer product to and from customer vehicles using FLT to the production area.

  • Identification of customer product

  • Checking of incoming quality

  • Liaise with commercial Admin and Production manager regarding customer product.

  • Liaise with HGV driver regarding daily delivery requirements

  • Professional attitude to customer representatives

  • When necessary drive company vehicles to deliver customer product.

  • When available to prepare customers components for processing, make up and breakdown

  • Handling of customer product in a safe manner

  • Ensuring paperwork is completed to site and UK procedures

  • Ensure parts are packed safely and according to instructions

  • Carry out routine equipment checks and completion of paperwork

  • Movement of work to the correct designated areas around the shop floor using pedestrian trucks

  • Monitoring and reporting on all material effecting processing.

  • Keep Site Head Of Quality informed about site operation and problems

  • Follow company health & safety procedures and disciplines

  • Follow and comply with company environmental procedures.

Education, Skills and Experience

  • FLT Licence required

  • Clean Driving licence
