Our client are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Construction Trainer to assist in the delivery of their Study Programme for their training center in Longton

You will work with students with a variety of support needs, including those with emotional and behavioural needs, learning difficulties and those who have disengaged from mainstream education.

The purpose of the role is to prepare, plan resources and deliver multi-skills construction training up to Level 2.

As the Construction trainer your role and responsibilities would include but is not limited to:
* Develop and deliver training programmes to service users
* Carry out initial assessments of the service users
* Engage with referral agencies including statutory and third party agencies
* Create support plans and regularly monitor these
* Risk assess and take necessary actions in respect of activities
* Use resources efficiently and effectively, ensuring proper use and security at all times.
* Maintaining and check all equipment and resources in own area of responsibility.
* Respond to internal or external complaints promptly, challenging any anti-social behaviour and reporting any risks.
* Meet individual performance targets
* Maintain up to date records and produce relevant reports as required.

As a successful candidate you should have:
* A level 4 teaching qualification (Certificate in Education & Training, CTLLS, or an equivalent qualification)
OR
* A level 5 teaching qualification (Diploma in Education & Training, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or an equivalent qualification)
AND
* GCSE English, maths and ICT (or equivalent qualifications at level 2 or above)
AND
* A vocational or academic qualification in your specialist subject (or equivalent experience)

The salary for this role is dependent on qualifications held.

An enhanced DBS check is required
