An established provider of affordable housing within the Birmingham area is immediately seeking an experienced Planner to be responsible for the operational and administrative support for a team of Trade Engineers, Supervisors, Surveyors and Managers. Key duties:

• the scheduling of repairs appointments using Kirona DRS (Opti-time) and our housing management system MIS Active H
• creating maximum efficiency and ensuring key performance indicators are maintained by ensuring repairs appointments are kept
• supporting other functions such as liaising with a range of stakeholders; ensuring the effective administration of the service; and support for specific areas of the business including but not limited to external contracts, voids, planned and cyclical works, finance, IT, procurement, and fleet
• conducting customer satisfaction surveys and responding to feedback from customers
• to ensure that Trade Engineers communicate in a timely and accurate manner regarding the progress of work, in order to identify and respond to scheduling/appointment difficulties and minimising inconvenience to customers

You will also have:

• a clear understanding of repair service processes, goals and targets; and the ability to be able to redeploy resources to meet such targets
• the ability to undertake customer satisfaction exercises, complaint resolution and identify service or system shortcomings, or abuse, and highlight these to management for action
• the ability to use a range of software packages to fulfil the role including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and Opti-time or DRS

The successful Repairs Planner will be immediately available and understand the need to communicate clearly with residents with the ability to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.
