We are currently recruiting for a Sales & Operations Planning Manager (S&OP) to drive implementation and continuous improvement of the Sales & Operations Planning process, known as the One Plan Process, in the Muller Milk and Ingredients business. This entails influencing and working across all levels and functions in the business, up to Board level, who are involved in the process. This role will need the candidate to be flexible; working mainly across our sites in Telford, Manchester and Market Drayton. The successful candidate will have strong experience in Sales & Operation Planning and be able to resolve complex problems and support change management within the role.

Your challenge:

In this role the key responsibilities will include:

* Implementation of the Sales & Operations Planning process to drive discipline within the process (e.g. Inputs/Outputs/Actions completed on time, in full) and drive compliance to the process (i.e. ensure all appropriate business decisions driven through the process).
* Continuous improvement of the S&OP process to drive maturity and support the development of the Feeder Reviews to drive an improvement in the main 5 Review Meetings
* Support the Chairs of the main 5 Reviews with their maturity journey.
* Document and maintain the process design.
* Document and maintain the interaction of the process with the IT tools (current & end state).
* Assumptions, Risks & Opportunities are consistently captured and managed throughout the process.
* Drive Volume & Value alignment using the same set of assumptions by Partnering with the Planning function to ensure the required Volume output, to the correct level.
* Drive Volume & Value alignment using the same set of assumptions by Partnering with the Finance Controlling community to ensure that their processes & IT systems can receive the Volume assumptions & 'cash them up'.
* Ensure business uses One Set of Numbers for all decision making.
* Develop, deliver and maintain a KPI dash boarding solution in support of the process.
* Assist functions in mapping their own departmental processes, to ensure the right level of information & insight flows into the process through the Feeder Reviews.
* Assist functions in developing and delivering their inputs into the materials used in the process (e.g. meeting packs).
* Assist functions in improving their understanding of the process and their role within it.
* Own the S&OP calendar for the business.
* Influencing and coaching of stakeholders, peers and others involved in the S&OP process.
* Champion the One Plan Key Behaviours throughout the process (Most Likely Outcome, Roughly Right, Close the GAP etc.).
* On boarding program - high level for all new starts, and more detailed for those who are involved in the process.
* Work with external parties in developing materials and tools to support the process.
* Work with external parties (if necessary) to deliver training / interventions.

Key skills & experience:

* Sales & Operation Planning knowledge and experience.
* Financial / Business acumen.
* Demonstrable ability to solve complex problems
* Strong influencing and coaching experience.
* Change management experience.
* Have an understanding of other companies S&OP processes.
