Join our graduate scheme to become a world-leading professional in Planning & Project Controls.

~~Who we are and what we do~~

We are the UK’s leading consultancy in Project Planning & Project Controls. Established in 2002, we now have seven offices worldwide in the UK, Australia and Hong Kong.

We believe that complex projects and portfolios need Project Controls in order to enable management to understand status and to take appropriate action to steer to successful outcomes. We have a track record of helping clients to establish solutions which are appropriate to the risks they face in managing delivery. This approach has enabled us to develop successful long-term relationships with both client and contracting organisations and a reputation for delivering highly effective solutions.

We offer a supportive environment encouraging fast growth and learning with future opportunities for leadership and input into company direction. Our graduate scheme will give you the ideal foundation to build on your existing skills and ensure that you experience ongoing challenging professional development.

We have positions available at both our London and Birmingham offices but travel will be frequently required for project work, often staying away during the week.

~~Academic requirements~~

A 2:1 or above (engineering-based degrees are desirable)

~~Who we’re looking for~~

We are looking for confident, ambitious, adaptable, self-motivated graduates who are excellent working both individually or in a team. We need you to be able to build and maintain strong relationships with both your colleagues and external clients through excellent verbal and written communication. A strong attention to detail is a must, as well as having a methodical approach to problem solving. We will expect you to draw on your previous university and employment experiences to manage your time effectively and to meet deadlines. A keen interest in developing your knowledge in Planning, Project Controls and the Project Management of major engineering and construction projects in the UK is essential.

~~Our offer to you~~

You’ll be part of a dynamic team of leaders in the field with opportunities for exposure across several industries including Rail, Aviation, Oil & Gas, Defence, and Construction and on some of the largest and most exciting engineering projects in the UK including HS2, Thames Tideway, Battersea Power station, Heathrow amongst many others. For those that are interested there could also be opportunities for international travel, particularly to Australia and Hong Kong where we have a number of other offices. You’ll receive first class training in a number of related areas and will be rewarded with a benefits package that includes our annual ski trip.

~~The selection process~~

We’ve designed a recruitment process to help give everyone who applies an equal opportunity to show us their best. An outline of what to expect is below:

Stage 1 – Online application (July/August)

This is your chance to tell us about your academic background and any work experience you have so far. Please think about why a career in Project Controls appeals to you and make sure to include this in your cover letter.

Stage 2 – Interviews (July/August)

If you’re successful with your online application, we’ll contact you by telephone to find out a bit more about your experiences so far and ambitions for the future. If this is in line with what we’re looking for, then we’ll arrange a first interview with you, either at our London office or on Skype if distance is an issue. This is your chance to display the qualities that a CV can’t do justice to!

Stage 3 – Assessment day (mid-late August)

Those who are successful at the interview stage will be invited to one of our assessment days. There will be some group exercises, a series of short tests and at least one further interview. These days are as much for you to find out what it’s like to work at Logikal as much as it is for us to find out your best qualities and fit with the company. These will take place at our London office and have been scheduled for late August.

Stage 4 – Offer (September)

The programme is due to start on the 4th of September 2017 and we aim to get offers out to our chosen graduates as soon as possible after our assessment days.

Please send a copy of your CV and a cover letter by clicking on the Apply button.

If possible please also specify if you have any preference for a London or Birmingham base.
