A well resourced Birmingham based Pupil Referral Unit who support secondary aged pupils with a range of special educational needs. They have a strong team emphasis and have an individualised approach to learning.
Your new role
Are you someone who enjoys the reward of working in the personalised learning dynamic that SEN brings. In this job you will be working on either 1:1 or with small groups of pupils with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) or Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) A number of pupils are on the autistic spectrum. The job will see you working with KS3 year groups, supporting on curriculum delivery, contribute to logs, reports and help pupils manage their behaviour and engage in learning. You will be team teach or restraint trained.
What you'll need to succeed
To be a suitable consideration for this job you will have recent or significant experience of working with individuals with moderate learning difficulties (MLD) Autism (ASD) and emotional behavioural difficulties (EBD). Team Teach training or be restraint training is essential. Experience of working with Social Emotional Behavioural Difficulties is a must. You will be patient warm and friendly and have a good sense of humour in your approach.
