Junior Marketing Manager (Online team)
If you're looking for an opportunity to join a well-established organisation where you'll support a thriving digital team and a fun and approachable MD with their brand compliance (amongst other things), then read on….
Our client is a very well established, but still growing, specialist online retailer with more than 3,000 employees across 24 European countries, the USA, Canada and South Africa (so it goes without saying there will be opportunities to travel for the right person!). Not only do they take pride in developing their staff, but they recompense hard work and talent with genuinely fantastic rewards (a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package), and what's more, they offer a fun, yet hard working environment with all the mod cons!
The UK operation is based in Warwick where they operate two 'direct to consumer' websites, as well as partnering with a number of leading retailers.
Due to a recent restructure of the marketing function there is now a need for this Junior Marketing Manager to help and support the digital team.
Supporting both the digital team and the Managing Director, this pivotal role will be responsible for brand content and compliance (including image rights and permissions), news and other marketing activities.
As the main liaison between the UK and Germany (where the head office is based), you'll assist the MD and contribute to the development of marketing plans and strategies across all the digital channels and customer touchpoints.
You'll provide guidance to the digital team on brand compliance to ensure that strict brand guidelines are adhered to across all marketing activity. You will get involved with, and deal with, ad-hoc marketing requests or projects as well as being responsible for developing relationships with key contacts in Oldenburg; as such there will be the occasional bit of travel to Germany from time to time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Act as liaison with Group Marketing (based in Germany), feeding relevant updates and information into the UK team
- Interpret corporate marketing strategies and advise on relevance to the UK market
- Manage limited marketing activity to support the brand position in the UK market
- Provide brand guidance on promotional material
This is quite a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys getting stuck in at all levels. The very nature of this role means that you might be helping with administrative tasks on one day, and representing the brand at seminars and workshops the next!
This is a great step up from Marketing Executive level for someone who is ready to really grasp it with both hands. If you have experience within an E-commerce or online retailer then even better! Previous digital marketing experience is preferable and at least 2-3 in a marketing environment would be preferred.
You'll need to have outstanding communication skills and will be happy and confident talking to and managing senior level stakeholders (both UK and overseas) and external agencies.
So if you're ready to support an awesome digital team, please send us your CV and call in for more info!
