Commercial Manager (C1) - 6 month Fixed Term Contract

Home based with travel

Seeking a Commercial Manager to be responsible for the commercial management of the business unit's bids, prospects and tenders.

About the role

This role is responsible for the commercial management of the business unit's bids, prospects and tenders, and the commercial contribution to successful project delivery, ensuring retained and enhanced profitability, management of 3rd party suppliers, mitigation of risk, and successful management of potential disputes to the business units favour.

What you will do:

Reviewing and negotiating client and supplier contracts through to closure

Providing advice and support at all stages, including variations and contract claims

Acting as a direct point of contact to the business on commercial / legal matters

Reviewing, interpreting and advising on existing contracts

Supporting the business with effective administration of contracts including the provision of contractual templates and tool kits

Ensuring that Capita governance is complied with

Assisting the sales team to win new business and identify routes to contract

Identifying, managing and reporting on key commercial / legal risks

Your experience will include:

You will be degree qualified, preferably from a legal or business discipline.

Previous experience as a Commercial (Contracts) Manager.

A good understanding of contract law and its application

The ability to manage and interpret complex contracts whilst resolving disputes

Strong contract drafting and negotiating skills

Ability to the use the suite of Office products eg: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
