Job Purpose: To provide expert first and second line technical support and training to all users of company IT equipment, supporting the Senior Systems Administrator and Technical Support Manager in managing assets. KEY RESULT AREAS:Providing appropriate technical support for all IT users on the efficient use of company IT equipment via phone, email or in person.Assist IT Support Analysts. With the benefit of more experience and exposure to the infrastructure, you will be required to impart your knowledge to IT Support Analysts to further their training and to help reduce your own 1st/2nd line workload to allow more time for other activities.Carrying out visits to any of the company's locations to install or maintain company IT equipment.Working with the IT Technical Support Manager and Senior Systems Administrator to develop the corporate network as required for current IT Development projects. Including but not limited to - Scripting, Image creation, SCCM application creation/deployment, phone system programming.Provide low level support of physical and virtual infrastructure (i.e. fault finding, rebooting) and informing Senior Systems Administrator of any potential problems for further investigation.Implementing IT projects that are defined and planned with the liaison of the IT Technical Support Manager.Documenting "How to" and common problem resolutions, to assist IT Support Analysts in doing their job.Keeping accurate records of company equipment, software and installations. This may be through the use of automated means (SCCM) or manual (Excel). Access to modification of these documents is to be tightly controlled.You may be required to undertake other duties appropriate to your post and/or hours of work, as may reasonably be required of you at your initial place of work or at any other of the company's establishments. Requirements: MS Qualification preferably in Server or SCCM area, Windows 7/10, Windows Server 2008R2/2012R2, Exchange 2016 (2013 minimum). You will also be a team player with excellent customer service skills, the ability to communicate complex information in an understandable way with a willingness to learn. Driver essential.
