HMI Research and Development - Automotive
To work as an individual within the HMI team to develop and deliver HMI solutions for in-vehicle use. The projects will be run through the research process which requires co-ordination with stakeholders within mainstream engineering, marketing and vehicle line representatives. There will be a heavy emphasis on requirements development and capture, FMEA / Functional safety and validation including test reporting.
To take responsibility for completion of associated process deliverables and to provide support to the mainstream departments and attribute teams in the handover of projects post delivery. This role will work within the Research Team reporting directly to the HMI Delivery Manager and coordinating with other engineers and human factors specialists from within Research.
Knowledge of vehicle hardware systems, systems engineering, requirements capture, validation testing, FMEA and functional safety
Good project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team are required as well as the ability to produce clear technical documentation is also required.
Automotive engineering background.
Bachelors Degree in Engineering - Hardware, Software, Vehicle or Automotive.
"Experience of working in the automotive industry or similar within a research or advanced product development environment is desirable but not essential. 'Familiarity with premium automotive sector, products and features and technology used in the HMI area. Computer literate, enthusiastic, forward looking, lateral thinker with proven creative, research and innovation skills in the field of technology. Masters / PhD desirable but not essential."
Additional Information :
