Job Title: Regional Security Officer

Hours:Dedicated Portfolio

Relief Cover for holidays/sickness/courses

Rate of pay: GBP7.50 - GBP7.80 per hour/Mileage allowance

Location: Litchfield/Dordon/Barton under Needwood/Gotham/Cannock

Overview: An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Anchor Group Services security team working in the North/East Midlands. The role will predominantly consist of providing relief cover for planned holiday and absences to a portfolio of large sites in the region. Due to the volume of sites in this region we are able to guarantee weekly hours for multiple resources. Full site based training and regular refresher training will be provided.

Duties to include:

  • Undertaking gatehouse duties, which include booking in and out HGV's and processing documentation.

  • Providing customer service to visitors, ensuring they understand the sites H&S procedures and ensuring safe entry and egress to site personnel.

  • A good understanding of customer service is preferable as this role is customer facing.

  • To undertake any other reasonable tasks from time-to-time as may be required.

  • Being confident in the site layout, pedestrian walkways and patrol routes.

  • Administrating paperwork as per the site assignment instructions for booking in and out of vehicles

  • Completing site patrols, including locks and unlocks of buildings and gateways

  • Monitoring CCTV cameras and escalating any concerns which you may encounter

  • Assisting with customer and company requests as for the needs of the contract

  • Ensuring site documentation is kept up to date and monitored correctly in line with the gatehouse and assignment instructions

  • Experience in the use of security, alarm and surveillance systems

  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations

  • Ability to keep accurate records and logs

  • Good report writing skills

  • Must be willing to undertake job related training and development

  • A flexible approach to hours of work and duties undertaken

  • Must wear the uniform provided and be willing to maintain an immaculate appearance with good personal hygiene

    Due to the nature of the role you must have the ability to effectively use a computer and follow IT based processes.

    Personal Qualities

  • Valid SIA licence.

  • Own transport

  • Have previous experience within the security industry and similar role.

  • Full 5 year checkable employment history.

  • Customer service skills and confident to handle queries in a correct manner.

  • Flexibility to meet the job requirements.

  • Eager to learn and take on a new challenge.
