About The Role

We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Local Marketing & Community Manager position within the Advertising and Digital Marketing team at our Support Centre in Redditch.

Halfords continued focus on driving consideration of the brand with consumers means that local activation and community relationships have an ever increasing importance and focus within our marketing activities. Acting as the lead, this new role offers an exciting opportunity to drive the local marketing strategy and community programme for a market leading brand.

Reporting into the Advertising Manager your key responsibilities will include;

• Full accountability for the delivery of marketing campaigns to support new store, relocations and store development projects from external signage, advertising to launch events. Acting as the functional lead for marketing across In-store, PR, Social and Email teams to develop best in class, through the line campaigns

• Working closely with internal stakeholders such as Retail Ops & Property, in the planning and approval process of local marketing campaigns

• Developing local marketing campaign recommendation rooted in geo and demographic insight

• Delivery of the local marketing activation plan in line with our national advertising strategy - responsible for the media planning, creative development, performance reporting and refinement of our digital advertising strategy for local

• Creative development of local marketing collateral to drive effectiveness and consistency with the Halfords brand

• Full accountability for the delivery of the community strategy - identifying opportunities to drive take-up of our school bike workshops and implementation of a marketing toolkit for Store Managers

• Working closely with store operations and category teams to drive the quality and consistency of our community workshop programme

• Maximising the ROI of all marketing activities within your remit to drive effectiveness

• Day-to-day management of requests for support from community organisations and charities

• Developing an effective working relationship with the head of CSR ensuring the community strategy is aligned with the wider CSR team

• Day-to-day management of the local marketing & community budget

About You

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following attributes, professional skills and competencies:

• Experience in delivering successful marketing campaigns with a deep understanding of both traditional and digital media

• Degree, preferably in marketing, communications or business

• Experience in working with media buying and creative agencies

• Self-motivated, highly flexible and will take the initiative to do what's needed

• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills working with numerous stakeholders inside and outside the business

• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify & recommend opportunities for improving campaign performance and maximising ROI within the area

• Robust commercial awareness with the ability to understand broader business objectives and how your area can contribute to overall success

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Thrive when working under pressure and to tight deadlines
