Support Workers, Various Hours - Across Warwickshire
We support twenty-four people to live independently in their own homes. Support includes budgeting, finances, shopping, cooking and other domestic duties. Some people need support with personal care. We support people to attend health appointments and with medication.
The people you will be supporting enjoy a variety of activities including swimming, concerts, theatres, holidays, shopping, baking, cooking, socialising, holidays, daytrips, cinema, going to football matches, dancing, pottery, being part of their community???which at times can be a hectic schedule but very rewarding as all of the above plays a significant part in their lives.
As well as the team that support them, some family and friends are also involved in their support.
Indoor activities include, going to church, music sessions, cooking, life skills, listening to music, drawing and colouring, model making, arts and crafts, reading books, surfing the internet, games and puzzles, writing letters to family and friends, television, pampering sessions - manicures.
Our staff team need to organised and flexible and be prepared to engage in a number of activities so shifts can be busy. You need to be able to lone work, be confident and adaptable, and be able to work in a person centred way.
You must be willing to work flexibly as and when required. You will work on a rota basis throughout the month that includes weekends, bank holidays and an expectation to take fair share of working Christmas and New Year. The shifts will include earlies, lates and sleepins.
You will need to demonstrate that you meet our five values, caring, challenging, trustworthy, inclusive and positive.
You will need to commit to our 12-week Induction programme by attending all training that is booked, complete all workbooks and shadow shifts and other activities that are agreed with your manager.
If you can work in a people orientated role, are a caring person who enjoys enabling people to achieve their life goals and aspirations we would love to hear from you. Experience within the care sector is an advantage but not a necessity as full training will be provided.
