We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Coordinator for our client who is currently based in Coventry but relocating to Birmingham shortly.

You will be responsible for managing the technical process of 31 global payrolls. Obtain and review information from HR regarding the monthly global payroll changes and when appropriate integrate the system or HR reports to obtain the correct information. Gather and deliver accurate and high quality data relating to the employees payments and deductions to the with various global payroll providers within the agreed monthly submission deadlines. Ensure that all global payrolls are compliant with all local in country legislation. Deputise in periods of absence by completing the Pensioners Payrolls.

Adhoc responsibilities:

o Proactively advise HR team on implications of HMRC, pension and other regulatory changes
o Provide advice to employees on payroll related queries, for example:
o Commissions and bonus
o Overtime
o Holiday pay
o Maternity, paternity and parental leave pay
o Sickness pay
o Tax returns and tax codes
o Pension queries
o Basic earning assessments for child care vouchers
o Administer access rights to payroll systems i.e. Self Service
o Check 'minimum wage' employee eligibility for salary sacrifice schemes
o Assist finance and HR where necessary with queries

The successful candidate must have a minimum 5 years stand-alone responsibility for a payroll of 500+ employees and a busy payroll environment or equivalent experience.
Have an exemplary knowledge of UK payroll processes, procedures and legislative requirements. Have detailed sound knowledge and technical understanding of global Payroll processing, payments and local legislations. Excellent current technical UK Payroll Knowledge.
