Concerns Management Team (CMT) Engineer

Based in Midlands: Whitley, Coventry

Main purpose of the role

The Concerns Management Team (CMT) Engineer will act as a central point of information and enhance data collation and concern resolution between the service and engineering communities.

The CMT Engineer will support the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Team Leader with detailed technical definition and resolution process to improve the 'Right First Time' fix rate and customer resolution speed.

Candidate Responsibilities

- Support the JLR technical teams and Retailer network to improve the overall data collection process to enable correct problem definition and provide technical resolution
- Create, update, analyse and store appropriate records to enable emerging concerns to be monitored
- Provide the link between the National Sales Companies / Regional Offices, Product Investigation and Engineering
- Provide the timely definition of escalated concerns between customer areas and JLR Engineering, creating 'closed loop' lessons learned process
- Host online presentations with JLR Engineering and global markets on a daily basis
- Provide complete and accurate concern definition information to support the Quicker Service Fix (QSF) programs
- Contribute to 'Right First Time' fixes, increasing customer satisfaction and reducing repeat repairs
- Occasionally support market visits to promote concern escalation and resolution best practice
- Participate in training / product information exchange with appropriate data sources including overnight stays as required
- Participate in "hands on" technical vehicle evaluation when required
- Write and circulate data to other Technical Support Engineers / Field Engineers / Project Management / Customers / Retailer staff when necessary
- Liaise with National Sales Companies and Regional Technical Managers at all levels on vehicle case histories, trends and analysis

Candidate Specification

- Experience of completing vehicle repairs within a franchised Retailer, preferably at a Master Technician level or equivalent.
- Recent Jaguar Land Rover brand experience is desirable
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of modern vehicle systems and repair processes, particularly up-to-date electronics
- Ability to describe and understand complex technical issues
- Strong diagnostic and analytical skills
- Ability to work logically and constructively with the determination to see concerns through to a conclusion
- Logical thought processes and capable of asking non-leading questioning to confidently resolve technical concerns
- The ability to multitask and run several projects simultaneously
- Verbal and written communications to be above average
- Excellent knowledge of MS office package (Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio, Share Point) is essential
- Six Sigma qualification is advantageous
- A willingness to train with a goal of becoming competent with new product launches across dual brands
- A willingness to adapt with change and be flexible is essential
- Smart and professional appearance
- Current driving license
- Fluency in a second European language (both spoken and written communications) would be an advantage but not essential
