Quality Inspector

The role

Reporting to the Shift Manager, and based on site in the West Midlands, the role of Quality Inspector will involve:

    Promote adherence to instructions and standards which are the foundation for a culture of continuous improvement
Support changes and improvements

Promote team work between departments (maintenance, quality, production, planning, new business and sales)

Promote communication within the team, across the shifts, other departments and with reporting lines at all levels

Maintenance of samples boards including temporary changes, ensuring that everything is up to date and correctly controlled

Ownership of the Assembly Cell part inspection process by auditing to the standard and updating when necessary

Taking in part in 8D completion of 8Ds

Working with Shift Leader to ensure corrective actions are followed

Feeding back to the cells and ensuring product complies with corrective actions

Inputting and reporting the RFT for respective shift

Proactively investigating and resolving RFT issues to increase quality output

Attending Level 1 and 2 meetings to feedback on RFT and quality

Carrying out firewall checking as required

Ownership of the cell inspection standards and procedures and train and audit to those standards

Communicating and leading the production teams to ensure optimum production quality output

Assist in the completion of accident investigations and action appropriately with Production Manager and Health and Safety advisor

Actively encourage and participate in raising EHS concerns before accidents occur utilising the company Incident Management System

Proactively close out EHS concerns raised in a timely manner

Ensure 5s procedures are adhered to for a safe and clean work place

    Utilise continuous improvement techniques within everyday working to improve the business
