Supply Chain Project Manager
A leading supplier into the Aerospace sector has a requirement for an accomplished Supply Chain Project Manager to join their business based in Derby.
The company is undergoing significant growth and investment and there is an opportunity for a Supply Chain professional to help develop a flexible and robust supply base.
The main aspect to the position is to project manage the phasing in of new and existing components in accordance with plan, process and budget to maximise the use of supply base capability and minimise risk of stock shortages to achieve on time delivery.
As Supply Chain Project Manager you will work with suppliers who are performing below expectations to achieve expected standards and support colleagues in the Procurement and Supply Chain function in supply base optimisation whilst reducing risk.
As Supply Chain Project Manager you will be managing multiple product portfolios, liaising with all tiers of the supply chain including vendors, manufacturers, and sub contract service providers to ensure on-time delivery.
You will also establish key relationships with all levels of the supply chain, implementing best practice, both internally and externally to ensure robust capacity planning and forecasting.
To be considered, you will have significant experience in dealing with suppliers / manufactures and an appreciation of the full supply chain along with a wide breath of project management experience.
You will be a strong communicator at all levels and be comfortable in negotiation, have excellent organisational skills and have a full understand of manufacturing processes.
Your experience will be gained in an engineering/manufacturing environment, exposure to the aerospace sector is preferred.
