Opportunity: Celesio UK, a pioneering provider of integrated healthcare services, have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Bid Manager to join our Tenders team.

Role: Based at our recently renovated Support Centre in Walsgrave Triangle, Coventry, this role will report directly to the Bid Manager and will be responsible for supporting the delivery of market leading bids and maximising locally commissioned services opportunities consistent with business growth targets and expectations for Celesio UK.

This role will support the bid management and contracting process, including support and development of operational procedures, monitoring, evaluation of performance and recommendation and implementation of changes, as necessary. This will include:

Market scanning for suitable opportunities through OJEU announcements and other sourcesInternal and external stakeholder managementEOI, PQQ, ITT, competitive dialogue, proposal process and formal bid presentations, as necessaryTender writing and collation of submissionsReview tenders pre submission, manage escalation and sign offDeliver effective and efficient renewals / extensions of pharmacy services contract, ensuring optimisation of business potentialTrain and educate internal customers in the tendering and contracting process, maintain high levels of colleague competency and complianceDeliver continuous improvement by incorporating feedback, learnings and best practice in to tender and contracting processes and submissionsEffectively deputise for the Bid Manager to lead the team when required to deliver positive business outcomesWork collaboratively with the Contracts Manager to ensure all contract related matters are effectively executedThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team in a large innovative business with future development and progression actively encouraged.

It is essential that you will have excellent attention to detail, a completer finisher and a passion for excellence.

Strong presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)

Exceptional writing skills

Educated to degree level

Be competent on MS packages

Display a passionate customer centric attitude

Be a strong team Player

It is desirable that have worked with / within the NHS, healthcare sector or pharmaceutical supply chain and have a demonstrable track record in tender process and bid submissions

Location:

This role is based at our Support Centre in Coventry, Walsgrave Triangle, CV2 2TX. We are located just off junction 2 of the M6, easily accessible by car. If using public transport, we are 5.5 miles from Coventry train station, approx. 40 minutes by bus from the station.
