For this post, you must be an energetic graduate who has an impressive academic record and a 2:1 or better in your degree or previous experience working with children who have special educational needs. You should possess an approach to your students and colleagues that is supportive, caring and nurturing and encourages them to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will have a welcoming attitude and an excitement for beginning a role in education. You will have the skills to show an empathy for SEN and show how passionate you are with your thirst for learning.

About the Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be supporting the development of a Year 1 boy who has been identified as on the Autism Spectrum on a 1:1 basis. Your duties will include discovering the best approach to behavioural management and lesson delivery by paying close attention during your training and continual professional development sessions. Your duties will include benefitting from the support and expertise of the gifted Special Educational Needs Coordinator.
