Opportunity: Celesio UK, a pioneering provider of integrated healthcare services, have an exciting opportunity for a Bid Writer to join our Tenders team.

Role: Based at our Support Centre in Coventry, this role will report directly to the Bid Manager and will be responsible for supporting the delivery of market leading bids – through producing professional, compelling, high quality content – consistent with business growth targets and expectations for Celesio UK.

This role will support the bid management process across the Celesio business, through developing competitively discriminated tender content; ensuring quality, compliant, factually and grammatically correct submissions; and recommending and implementing continual improvement in tender writing, as necessary. This will include:

Internal and external stakeholder managementSupporting PQQ, ITT, competitive dialogue, proposal and formal bid presentation processes as necessary with high quality technical materialTender writing and collation of submissionsDelivering effective and efficient review of technical content, ensuring optimisation of the tendering knowledge baseTraining and educating internal customers in the bid writing process, maintaining high levels of colleague competency and complianceDelivering continuous improvement by incorporating written word best practice into tender submissionsWorking collaboratively with the Bid Manager to ensure all tender submissions are effectively executedThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team in a large innovative business with future development and progression actively encouraged.


It is essential that you will have excellent attention to detail, a completer finisher and a passion for excellence.

Strong presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)

Exceptional writing skills

Educated to degree level

Be competent on MS packages

Display a passionate customer centric attitude

Be a strong team Player

It is desirable that you will have worked with / within the NHS, healthcare sector or pharmaceutical supply chain and / or have a demonstrable track record in tender process and bid submissions.

This role is based at our Support Centre in Coventry, Walsgrave Triangle, CV2 2TX. We are located just off junction 2 of the M6, easily accessible by car. If using public transport, we are 5.5 miles from Coventry train station, approx. 40 minutes by bus from the station.
