Bistrot Pierre prepares, cooks and serves provincial French dishes using fresh and seasonal ingredients and regularly changing menus.

Due to higher than anticipated demand leading to higher cover numbers than we had originally expected, we are looking to recruit an additional ambitious and driven Duty Manager for our Mere Green restaurant. This is an involved and hands-on role focused on ensuring that the delivery of excellent customer service standards within the bistrot are met by all team members. Also to help all waiting staff deliver the standards laid out in our guidelines and to live and breathe the values and culture of the business.

We currently have a portfolio of 18 restaurants nationally, with ambitious plans for expansion, creating plenty of opportunity for career progression for those who seek to continue to grow their skills and position within the company.

Our Mere Green restaurant typically caters for a volume of anything from around 100 covers on a quiet weekday lunch service up to around 250 covers per service on a busy evening or weekend.

Our Duty Managers act in a supporting role to the General Manager and Assistant Manager at all times and cover for them in their absence. You will be professional, friendly and have excellent interpersonal skills. This is the first step on the Management ladder at Bistrot Pierre and so you will benefit from excellent training and development to assist you in your future career progression to Assistant Manager and General Manager level.

Hours are normally 35-45 per week, although this may vary to suit the needs of the business.

If you have a cool head under pressure, thrive on team work, a proven track record in a premium casual dining background, are ambitious, have a good sense of humour, an eye for detail and truly understand the notion of hospitality then we’d love to hear from you! A great people person with proven success as a Duty Manager or you could be an experienced and high performing member of the waiting team and ready for your first progression into a management position.
