Senior Commercial Account Handler

Birmingham

KSA recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Commercial Account Handler to join an insurance brokerage based in Birmingham

Main Tasks:

  • Lead and take charge of the existing team of account handlers.
  • Checking details for accuracy.
  • Checking the market for alternatives where appropriate.
  • Arrange request and collection of pre-renewal information from the client.
  • Liaise with clients and ensure renewal and reminder letters are despatched within a reasonable time prior to renewal date.
  • Answering telephones and dealing with inquiries from clients and insurers in an appropriate and expeditious manner.
  • Handling of post on a daily basis. Deal with as appropriately or refer to Account Executive for instructions.
  • Deal with MTAs and quotations requested.
  • Deal with insurers regarding quotations and policy queries.
  • Issue relevant FCA letters and invoices where required.
  • Input new business details.
  • Upload insurer documentation.
  • Liaise with Account Executive to agree renewal strategy for Serviced Clients in line with renewal timetable as determined by Account Executive.
  • Preparation of Broking Presentations to insurers (New & Existing Business)
  • Monitoring responses to broking exercises from Market and discuss with Account Executive
  • Preparation of Renewal Reports for Serviced Clients in line with Account Executive’s instructions.
  • Preparation of New Business Reports where required.
  • Monitoring Aged Debtors with referral to Account Executive where required.
  • Provide assistance to colleagues, where required (Telephone Calls, Workloads, Holiday cover etc.) to ensure that all client queries are answered in a timely manner.

Knowledge Required:

  • Underlying Principles of Insurance
  • FCA Regulations
  • Core Policies: Motor Fleet, Property Owners Insurance, Employers & Public Liability, Engineering & Inspection & Contractors All Risks/Contract Works

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years Commercial Account Handling experience.
