Senior Youth Support Worker

Job Location: Burton-Upon-Trent, Derby and Nottingham

£22,799.00 per annum (Subject to successful probation and previous experience/Qualification)

Homes2inspire Ltd are pleased to announce our transition into Prospects Group as our parent organisation.

This change has provided the opportunity for homes2inspire to develop its children's services strategy, supporting our existing excellent provision for our looked after young people.

Homes2inspire specialise in working with young people and families. We have comprehensive experience in providing specialist, welfare and educational based support, interventions and guidance to children and young people in various settings.

We currently have 19 children's homes in, and around the Midlands area which an age group ranging from 10-18 years. Majority of the young people in our care have complex emotional behavioural difficulties, which can lead to behaviours of concern.

We have an experienced, knowledgeable and qualified staffing team lead by professional qualified Senior Managers.

We accommodate and care for young people, providing holistic and bespoke care packages to meet individual needs, ensuring effective and positive outcomes.

As a Senior Youth Support Worker you will be expected to provide guidance, support and supervision to youth support workers to enable them to complete their role in providing direct care and encouragement to the young people to ensure they achieve their full potential.

As an organisation we committed to provide care staff with a comprehensive induction into this field of work, this will include:

- A modular training programme prior to commencement of role

- Monthly formal professional supervision

- QCF Level 3 in the children's and young people workforce Qualification (Funded by the organisation)

- On-going continuous professional development

Previous experience with children or vulnerable adults is required. Experience of managing others, leading a team or individuals would be advantageous. We welcome applicants that we feel have the right characteristics, aptitude, and life skills to work with our young people.

Essential:

- Previous experience working with young people.

- QCF Level 3 in the children's and young people workforce Qualification (or relevant being undertaken)

Desirable

- Full UK Drivers Licence

- Live Update DBS

As a residential provision this is a 52 week/24-hour service. You will be required to work a shift pattern which includes early/late shifts and sleep-in duties when required at an additional allowance.

You will be required to undergo a Disclosure Barring Service enhanced application which will be funded by the organisation.

Interviews will take place as assessment days, Right to Work documents will be requested at interview.
