Our client based in Burton-On-Trent is looking for an internal sales advisor to join their prestigious and ever expanding family run business.

The successful candidate will be required to deliver excellent customer service, handle customer orders, enquiries, queries and give support for Sales & Management teams, alongside organising logistics and deliveries with the warehouse and purchasing team, to ensure customers receive the correct goods on time.

The role involves answering sales and general calls and emails from the Head Office in Burton that support sales of £3 million annually. A key member of the sales force processes daily more than 25 quotations and orders.

The contract offers an attractive rate of £7.50 Per hour and runs on a temporary to permanent basis, within the hours of 8.30AM-5PM Monday to Thursday and 8.30AM-4PM on a Friday, with a lunch of 30 minutes.

Key responsibilities required of the successful candidate;

• Developing new and existing customer relationships by offering excellent customer service

• Identifying opportunities for incremental sales and margin, communicating where necessary with External Sales & Management

• Answering sales and enquiry calls and emails

• Processing sales quotations, sales orders & customer returns

• Key support to Vendor Managed Inventory

• Key support to Kit operations including MRP, Productions Orders, BoM's, booking in and releasing kits

• Responding to customer queries in a professional and timely manor

• Processing and interrogating stock transactions and maintaining accurate stock records

• Support for various project activity including key customer tender

General responsibilities of the role;

• Helping with basic IT requirements, printing issues, labelling issues

• Checking/picking stock when needed

• Carrier distribution – using UPS via online portal

• Picking up colleague emails/ orders/ enquiries when needed.

• Holiday cover and support to other departments

Desirable Skills and qualifications include;

• Experience in Sales, Customer Service or similar role

• Excellent communications skills. Clear and confident telephone manor

• Organisation, individual initiative, flexibility and time management

• Competent using Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint

• Experience with stock & accounting software such as SAP or SAGE favourable

• Computer literate and can solve basic IT issues

• GCSE's Grade A*-C Maths & English

• Further education favourable (A-Level, NVQ, Higher Education)
