Due to expansion of the business our client is seeking an experienced Hire Controller/ Administrator for the Hereford Depot who is an educated, smartly presented, highly customer service focused professional. You will be very numerate, analytical and computer literate. You will be team player who works well under pressure.
The Hire Administrator/ controller will play a pivotal role within the depot office, reporting to the Depot Manager and supporting the management team. The role requires day to day involvement in a busy hire office. Tasks will include communicating with customers, taking orders, dealing with all hire processes, including hire contracts, minor logistical run planning, the up keep of quality check and maintenance data, exchanges, returns and breakdowns and updating Hire and CRM systems, whilst dealing with any customer queries in a professional, friendly manner and advising on equipment needs and always ensuring that all opportunities to maximise the company’s sales to a customer are attained
The Successful Applicant:·Well educated with a minimum of 4 GCSE’s A - C·Computer literate, with strong experience of databases and excel. ·Experience in a Hire Controller/Administrator type role·Experience gained within the rental or hire sector including construction and building tools and equipment, cars or fleet, access equipment, skips, or other similar hire and rental and returns industries may also be considered. ·Understanding of customer needs with a solutions focussed approach. ·High level of professionalism.·Excellent time management, with flexibility to undertake some minimal out of hours work should the requirement arise·Confident communicator, already experienced with communicating with key account and ad hoc customers from local operations, the general public, to procurement managers/Directors or CEO’s of blue-chip companies·Knowledge of Health and Safety
