We’re looking for a ER Specialist to join our Team to help us continue to make that difference.

How the role fits in

This role comes at a pivotal time in our direction of travel - we’re taking the HR Team to a new level of excellence. As our needs have evolved along with our diversification in the market, we’re optimising our HR service to keep pace with that change. We have a number of key projects on the horizon and in line with our ethos of 'people first’, we’re looking for a HR Advisor with a flare for taking ownership of employee relations. You will be instrumental in championing process improvements, and role-modelling best-practice. We’re an organisation with entrepreneurship at our core, so comfort sharing ideas and positively challenging the status-quo is central to making the most of this role. Experience in a similarly fast-paced, evolving organisation would certainly go a long way to helping you build your success with us.

The role day to day

  • Act as a central contact for line managers, sharing your HR knowledge to enable effective ownership and resolution of employee issues

  • Advise and manage stakeholders at all levels to ensure effective and compliant completion of investigations and disciplinary procedures

  • Keep comprehensive records of advice and ensure employee information is kept up to date

  • Use your experience to identify opportunities to improve our policies and processes

  • Actively support the wider HR Team with projects and reporting to implement improvements and help us to meet our Team and Organisational goals

What you’ll need to help you make the best of the role

  • Confidence working autonomously with accountability for high volume casework

  • Experience of policy review and contributing to policy improvements

  • Solid knowledge of current UK Employment Law

  • Able to answer an array of HR queries, ensuring details are communicated in a way that is tailored to the individual, to ensure best understanding

  • Ability to build great working relationships across business functions

  • Comfort balancing priorities and working to deadlines

The 'nice to haves’

  • Knowledge of European Employment Laws

  • CIPD qualification (or working towards)

  • Experience with implementation of a case management system

  • Involvement with embedding a central HR function

  • Experience in a fast-paced, evolving environment, championing change
