My client is looking to expand their change consultancy business and recruit people who can quickly become embedded in organisations and drive change and transformation for their clients.
Being a Programme Management Consultant you will:
Provide Programme Management to public sector clients around the UK Work on site with clients to drive change and transformation, developing and monitoring against plans, facilitating workshops and boards, and providing assurance around delivery. Develop strategies for change, helping clients to think long term and plan for the future Coach and mentor clients, helping them to drive change and challenging their thinking. Establish and run key governance processes to ensure delivery We are looking for the following skills/experience:
Experience of Programme Management in change and transformation, we’re looking for people who have experienced structured programme management, who know the rules, but also know when it’s best to break them! How have you been flexible and creative in order to drive deliver? Experience of driving change in the public sector - we’d like to hear about what you’ve achieved, what type of programmes you’ve delivered, and what did you learn? Leadership skills - can you challenge thinking, build up effective working relationships and influence others who you may or may not directly manage? Although not essential, we would be interested to hear from people with some experience of consultancy work, where you have driven change in another organisation. You will need to be resilient, leading change is challenging, we’d like to hear about when you’ve been resilient and what experience you can bring to the table Experience of working with senior managers in large and complex organisations, it’s important you can influence others and drive strategic change As with all good programme managers, you will need to be organised, intelligent, able to identify strategic risks, dependencies, and be disciplined in your approach whilst ensuring you meet the clients needs About us The client was established 3 years ago, and has been slowly building up a client base around the UK. They are a small business who offers a bespoke Change/Transformation management service to the public sector. Their experience is currently mainly with Local Authorities. They are an exciting new company looking to grow, and we want to attract people who want to grow with them. They have invested in a development programme to help skill up our staff, because we believe our people are our greatest asset. Their style is to drive change and transformation from within their client organisations, and to coach and mentor their staff to ensure that change is sustainable. They use project and programme management techniques, but we are not restricted by them. What sets them apart from other project/programme managers is their creativity, theirr flexibility and their passion for people not process. Working with them will give you experience of working in different organisations, in a variety of change programmes, and they will challenge you to develop your skills to be the best you can. You will be supported by your colleagues, have access to coaching, mentoring and training materials, and have the freedom to grow and develop. In return for this the client wants you to build excellent relationships with their clients, deliver change with them, represent the brand and help grow the business. The Details Location: B ased in the North West (Blackburn, Lancashire) but you will spend the majority of your time on site with clients in Lancashire, Greater Manchester and London, although they have demand in the West Midlands for a large scale transformation programme in a Local Authority for the next 6 months, so initially most of your time will be spent there. Salary: £55-65k depending on experience. Role type: Happy to consider both permanent and fixed term contract applicants, the minimum term for FTC would be 6 months.
