Customer Service / Sales Manager
I am currently recruiting for a Customer Service / Sales Manager to work on the outskirts of Birmingham city centre for a manufacturing business. The role is that of man magement and also account management of a team of 6/7 people
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Increasing sales and profits for the business within your team
Ensuring all customers receive exceptional service
Managing the sales and purchasing department
MAIN TASKS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Increase sales to current customers. Ensure exceptional customer service at all times. Maintaining communication with customers to make them aware of new products as well as the progress of their orders.
Ensuring all sales enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner whether received via email, telephone; internal account sales staff or via the website.
Ensuring all incoming enquiries are dealt with and that estimates and quotations are produced efficiently and correctly to ensure the best opportunity of gaining the business, maintaining customer satisfaction and profitability for the company.
Develop a strategic plan for developing the business, including identifying new markets or ways to expand current markets to new potential customers
Developing relationship with suppliers to ensure the best price and availability as well as quality of products are obtained for the company.
Liaise with other departments within the business to ensure planning is effective.
Develop and ensure up to date understanding of materials, products and machinery and knowledge of the company and the products offered.
Ensure all telephone calls are answered in a timely manner and dealt with as appropriate.
Staff and Training
Manages staff with regular reviews of staff
Monitoring training requirements and conducting one to one training where appropriate.
Ensuring Induction, probation reviews and training of staff are carried out in accordance with procedures.
To record and account for the absence/attendance and holiday requests of all personnel for whom you are responsible
Carry out performance management in conjunction with HR where necessary
Finance / reporting
To provide Directors with monthly target figures for sales and future projections. Updating on a weekly basis.
To provide Directors with any projected cost increases or investment requirements
Communication and Reporting
To plan and hold regular management and staff meetings.
¨ Salary range:- circa £25K
¨ Hours: 8.30 to 5pm
¨ Bonus based on KPI
¨ Annual Leave – 29 days
