**Part Qualified Finance Business Partner**

Gleeson Recruitment Group are currently working alongside a Market Leading Manufacturing business based in the heart of Birmingham City Centre to appoint a Part Qualified Finance Business Partner to the team.
This Part Qualified Finance Business Partner is a permanent opportunity paying circa £30,000 per annum + Study Support

Role purpose
To ensure there is integrity in Standard and Current Costs, to provide Sales with Cost Estimates and to review profitability of both new and existing business by working with Sales and Purchasing.

Part Qualified Finance Business Partner Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist the Finance Function where necessary in maintaining integrity in costs held within the FourthShift system
  • Provide Sales Team with costs/GM% for quotes to new business to Customers using Salesforce and Fourth Shift
  • Review GM% post shipping of new business to check whether GM% has changed, establish reasons why and suggest corrective action to improve
  • Monitor Customer order quantities against original forecast/commitment and bring any material differences to the attention of Sales and Purchasing for discussion with the Customer
  • Work with Purchasing and Sales to ensure we have all of the information required to make commercially sound commitments on Purchase Orders
  • Review assembly and test times on Fourth Shift
  • Review Change of Price Authorization Forms from Purchasing for Current and Standard costs
  • Analyse changes in Current Costs for Suppliers and report back
  • Assist the Financial Controller on the preparation of CAR Forms where necessary
  • Monitor low or negative GM% lines by Customer order/shipment and report back to Management on actions taken to improve
  • Look at GM trends and report back to Management in a concise and easy to understand format
  • Assist the Finance Department on ad-hoc projects including yearend.
  • Assist the Finance Department in the Budgeting process and ad-hoc modelling reports


Qualifications & experience

  • Qualified to University Degree level or by experience in a similar job for a similar company
  • Experienced in working in a high volume, high pressure Manufacturing environment
  • Experienced in making sound commercial decisions
  • Experienced in working with Sales, Purchasing and Technical Departments
  • Experienced in working with bills of material and routings on MRP system
  • Computer literate with an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, preferably an advanced user of Excel.
  • Experience of working in a multi-currency environment with overseas Customers and Suppliers
