This role is working for a well-known and loved business in Central Birmingham offering candidates a chance to get involved in an array of duties across the accounting function.

Client Details

My client is a well established business based in Central Birmingham, easily accessible by Public Transport and close to local amenities.

Description

The key responsibilities of this role involve maintaining and posting bank transactions, updating daily and weekly cashflow and performing bank reconciliations. In addition, you will be required to prepare and post journals, perform balance sheet control account reconciliations and deal with the sales ledger. You will also have the opportunity to assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, final statutory accounts and preparing reports for companies wherever and whenever necessary.

Profile

The ideal candidate must:

  • Have previously worked in a finance department - essential
  • Be able to work to tight and strict deadlines - essential
  • Have a knowledge of a computerised accounting package - desirable
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service - essential
