Employer Business Development - Key Account Manager

We are a national and independent training provider in the Work Based Learning sector and are looking for passionate, motivated, individuals with a can do attitude to join us and be part of a successful Business Development team that contributes to our future success.
You will proactively identify, develop and engage suitable new employers across the region ensuring they meet Health and Safety, quality and delivery requirements. Ensure learner density is maximised across new and existing sites for both Apprenticeships (New Standards) and Traineeship Programmes. At all times promoting and advising on Smart Training and Recruitment’s Training Portfolio.
The successful candidate will have good IT skills and become our Regional Key Account Manager who will generate and build strong relationships with larger businesses and Levy Paying employers from many business sectors by selling in Training and Apprenticeships.
This role is being offered on a full time Monday to Friday (core business hours) permanent basis where you will engaging with employers across the region via phone, email and face to face meetings.
Ideally you will be located within easy reach of road links and willing to travel on a daily basis with access to your own reliable vehicle.
Duties will include:
* Achieving sales targets and developing the business
* Face to face sales
* Cold calling
* Employer lead generation
* Client development with the ability to close
* Advising on Apprenticeships
* Information, Advice and Guidance
* Maintain records and databases
We are looking for candidates with excellent and proven engagement, negotiation, communication and organisational skills at a senior level.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to work remotely and effectively within a face to face senior sales and engagement capacity.
Your Company Laptop, Smart phone, ID badge and business cards on day 1 alongside a full induction programme into our bespoke and tailored delivery of Apprenticeships and Traineeships.
As a senior member of the team you may provide support and guidance to a regional team through engaging and securing new and repeat business through effective key account management and engagement with new prospective clients. You will inspire others to enhance their skills and ensure that policies and procedures are followed and targets are met. Within this role you will be responsible for ensuring business growth across government funded learners and commercial sales.
