Forde Automotive are currently looking for a Scheduling Administrator / Transport Planner to work with our client at their site in Sutton Coldfield. The role is a pivotal role where you will plan the daily activity of inspections and collections teams. Primary focus will be on planning daily routes for operations teams, using geographically sound logic to ensure reduced mileage and minimum time out of collection activity for operations driving teams. Secondary focus will be to analyse performance data and create useful dashboard views, ensuring reports are compiled in a timely fashion and distributed to all key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with general administration duties within the scheduling/transport department to ensure the collections and deliveries of vehicle are within customer specified SLA’s
  • Co-ordinating collections with the Inspection team and transport companies
  • Collate and send daily reports
  • Liaise with inspectors, giving them up to date information and guidance where necessary
  • Deal with internal and external customer queries in polite and efficient manner
  • Resource work to transport Field Team
  • Ordering and hiring of rental cars and agency drivers in line with business requirements
  • Working closely with customer service department to ensure collections run to schedule
  • Planning Inspector/Driver holidays, ensuring adequate cover is available
  • Assist with general administration duties within the department to ensure the collections and deliveries of vehicles are within customer specified SLA’s

  • Consistently meeting customer service excellence standards
  • Work within standard operating practices, compliance regulations and legislation at all time

Qualifications / Education & Experience

  • Previous experience in Logistics/Distribution or Automotive preferred
  • Previous experience within a role marshalled by tight deadlines and strict SLA’s an advantage
