Service, repair technician
A suitably qualified and experienced Repair Technician is required to undertake the full spectrum of service, repair and support for the company’s portfolio of ultra-rugged handheld computers/data collectors. These are Windows and Android based devices with various configurations of additional hardware.
This is a varied and "hands on" role with the successful candidate performing a number of duties, the core being repair of these devices, to involve assembly, dis-assembly, and servicing, with the additional ability to provide end user support if necessary.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
Must have at least 5-7 years of experience working in a similar environment. Requires some experience and awareness in soldering both through-hole and surface mount components.
Although faultfinding will generally not be component level, it is essential the engineer understands basic principles of electronics, and has some years of practical experience.
They must possess attention to detail and so be able to interpret schematics. Very good knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 & Android Operating Systems & Computer programming/software development skills are also desirable.

Requires the ability to communicate with customers in a highly professional manner. Ability to develop trusting, long-term relationships with colleagues, clients and prospects. Must be self-motivated, independent and demonstrate a solid work ethic.
