Cannock

THE COMPANY

Our client is a leading principle contractor to Network Rail and specialise in several construction, civil engineering and build projects across the UK. Their operation employs over 4,000 people and have over 60 years’ experience providing a wide range of construction services to infrastructure sectors including rail, water, power and natural resources.

Due to continually winning new work, they are looking for a Safety biased HSEQ Advisors to join their specialist rail division based in Cannock!

IDEAL CANDIDATE

You’re the HSQE Advisor I’m looking for if you have a focus in the safety field and have experience on a live construction site within any sector of civil engineering or construction. Our client is looking for someone who is flexible and motivated by progression, as they invest heavily in all their employees and offer extensive training and an excellent development programme. Is this person you?

ABOUT THE JOB

As an experienced Safety Advisor, you will be familiar with travelling to site as this features quite heavily in this role. Although you will be based out of the Cannock office, the projects are run as far as London and Swindon, so you must be willing to travel to site to conduct your work.

You will also be responsible for running multiple projects/sites at any one time, so if you’re more of a ‘residential’ advisor based only at one site, this role won’t be suitable for you. There is a lot of plate spinning so if you’re up for the challenge and have experience doing so, what are you waiting for?!

REQUIREMENTS

  • NEBOSH Construction minimum qualification
  • HNC/HND/Degree desirable
  • Experience working on a live construction project
  • Experience working on more than one project/site at any one time
  • Strong H&S experience specific to civil engineering – rail preferable
  • PTS - preferable

PACKAGE

  • £35,000 per annum
  • Fuel card for business and personal use
  • 40 days of training in your first 12 months
  • Car or car allowance (£6,000)
  • 5% Company pension contribution
  • 25 days’ holiday + 8 days’ bank holiday
