Role: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Wednesfield

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 6:00am to 2:30pm / 10:30am to 7:00pm rotating shifts Monday to Friday, 2 Saturdays per month 6 hours

Salary: £27,675 plus overtime at £15.30. OTE £35,000. 33 days holiday. Medical Insurance. FINAL SALARY PENSION.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Electrician

The Candidate

You will be an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer or Electrician who has worked within a manufacturing or engineering environment. You will also have the following skills, experience and attributes…

  • Excellent fault finding and diagnosis skills on machinery
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Inspection and testing qualification would be beneficial but is not essential
  • MUST have experience of working on machinery within a factory / manufacturing environment
  • MUST have a strong work ethic
  • Experience of working to a PPM schedule would be beneficial but is not essential
  • MUST have an excellent knowledge of health and safety e.g. permits to work, risk assessments, PPE etc.
  • Experience of maintaining overhead cranes would be highly beneficial but is not essential
  • Some experience with hydraulics would be beneficial but is not essential

Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Electrician

The Role

You will report to the Maintenance Manager and be responsible for maintaining al plant and equipment on site in a safe and efficient condition. Your main roles and responsibilities will include…

  • Maintain the safe and efficient operation of the plant and provide full availability of equipment to the production teams.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance of the equipment involved within the scope of the planned maintenance system.
  • Provide an efficient breakdown service to enable plant and equipment to be as fully available as possible.
  • Provide and maintain the safe and secure conditions of the works i.e. lighting, fire doors, perimeter fencing and buildings.
  • Maintain the safe working condition of all gas, water, compressed air and acid pipework within the works.
  • Maintain a record of all incidents, breakdowns and stoppages and to record the remedial action taken.
  • Report the use of spares so the stock levels can be maintained
