Leading international manufacturer operating within commercial vehicle/rail industry seeking quality engineer

Your new company
An impressive international manufacturing company who operate within a range of industries including rail, general transportation and commercial vehicle sectors. With 2017 turnover in excess of £3 Billion and record growth in the UK through a number of acquisitions this organisation continues to go from strength to strength. Now due to some internal changes the company is seeking to add 2 Quality Engineer's to it's site in Tamworth, Staffordshire.

Your new role
As a Quality Engineer you will take responsibility for a wide range of tasks which include liaising with both customers and suppliers on key quality issues whilst also having a responsibility for the overall quality of the product internally. You may occasionally be required to conduct internal system audits as well has handling non conformances, leading 8D investigations and coordinating inspection activities to resolve issues.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of core quality tools such as 8D investigations, PPAP's and FMEA's. Along with this you will be comfortable in working in either a customer/supplier facing capacity. Knowledge of manual inspection techniques or previous experience overseeing inspection teams is highly advantageous. Because there are 2 positions currently available the client is open to seeing a mixture of candidates either candidates with a strong inspection background or candidates with experience of handling a range of quality projects from customer quality projects through to major containment issues.
