Senior Accountant (newly qualified role)
This Staffordshire based public practice accountancy firm is seeking an ambitious newly qualified ACA/ACCA accountant (or finalist) looking to take that next step. This well-established practice based in Newcastle under Lyme requires an experienced accountant with a good basic grounding in accounting and some client service experience to fast-track through to Senior Accountant level.
Part-Qualified candidates will be considered if they are nearing completion of their studies - but please note that the firm can only accommodate training for ACCA candidates (with study package as required).
A regional practice with an enviable reputation, this firm has a varied portfolio of clients throughout the Staffordshire Region and the West Midlands. The firm works predominantly with owner-managed businesses' along with a small number of corporate entities across a variety of industries.
The role provides a great opportunity for a recently qualified accountant who would like to progress through to a client management role with pace. This Senior Accountant Job includes looking after a portfolio of clients in conjunction with the Partners and will involve statutory accounts preparation, Corporation tax computations, management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT return preparation and personal tax return preparation.
The main responsibilities of the role are;
- Reviewing Accounts preparation work for Limited companies, Sole traders, Partnerships, LLP's & Charities
- Attending client meetings to assess needs and cross sell additional services
- Overseeing the work of a team of Junior and Semi Senior Accountants
- Managing workflow across a mixed portfolio of clients
- Assisting with the training and development needs of more junior accounting staff
