Job Title: Business Development (Field Sales) Manager

Salary: £35,000 + commission + car

Hours: Full time

Contract: Permanent

Location: Midlands/Staffordshire/Warwickshire and the Welsh Border


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development (Field sales) Manager covering the Midlands/Staffordshire/Warwickshire and the Welsh border within a manufacturing and importer company. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, driven with a passion to develop new and existing business relationships. Experience in PPE/Work wear would be advantageous

Key Duties:

·Reporting to the National Sales Manager in managing an existing sales territory

·Be responsible for the delivery of both the sales & margin budgets in support of the businesses overall strategic objectives.

·Manage and develop the existing customer base to ensure business retention whilst identifying opportunities to increase upselling of existing business.

·Identify and recommend new customers, develop strategic plans and tactics to ensure effective targeting of these new opportunities

·Work closely with the internal sales team to maximise revenue from existing customers and identify new opportunities for growth. Regular follow up and review to ensure we are on target.

·Continuously update and maintain the companies CRM system ensuring all customer records are kept up to date.

·Attend and support all trainings, exhibitions as and when required

·Compile comprehensive reporting, monthly sales etc. Ensuring all figures/targets are maintained and kept up to date as directed by their line manager.

·Raise invoice requisitions when required

Key Skills/Experience Required:

·Experience in Field sales role would be advantageous

·Excellent client relationship building skills and customer oriented

·Positive Team Player

·Is solution oriented, demonstrates creative and innovative ideas to resolve problems

·Commercial awareness, sound judgement and high integrity

·Excellent communication and concise written skills
