Purchasing Assistant for Dynamic Public Sector Organisation
An exciting new role has arisen to work at a large public sector organisation on the outskirts of Birmingham. Set in stunning offices and working with a warm and friendly team, this role is ideal for someone with a flair for numbers and a keen interest in finance.
As Purchasing Assistant you will be supporting the Finance Department and wider team, providing general administrative support as well as overseeing a variety of payment processes.
In this busy and varied role, your daily tasks will include:
General admin to include filing, record keeping, processing correspondence and answering phones
Compiling detailed reports, statistics and analysing information as required
Sourcing and placing purchase orders and negotiating purchase contracts with suppliers
Managing the cash flow within the department in the way of processing expenses and reconciling invoices
The nature of this role means that previous purchasing experience is essential, as is a strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office programmes.
