The role:
As business development manager, your main responsibilities will be generating new leads, chasing these leads and closing deals in order to grow profitable revenues for the company by targeting the retail industry, selling into outdoor clothing/equipment shops offering a wide range of outdoor accessories and tent equipment. You will also be in charge of managing the accounts that you have brought on previously with the aim of increasing repeat business. The successful business development manager should be able to hit the ground running, therefore experience and contacts within the industry is desirable. This will be covering a large central patch.

The candidate:
The successful business development manager will be a vibrant and self-motivated individual who can work under pressure to meet and exceed their sales targets, a hunger and drive to succeed is key. The candidate will be expected to have experience within the outdoor accessories/ equipment/ clothing industry and therefore as mentioned have good contacts within this space and be able to hit the ground running. The Business development manager will need to be well organised, confident and a great communicator.

The package:
For the position of business development manager, you will be offered a basic salary of £40,000-£45,000 based on experience, a strong commission structure offering an OTE of £65,000 and a company car is included.
