The good news is that our continued success and business growth has opened up an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic, passionate and creative Warehouse Trainer to join our successful Screwfix contract at our new site due to open November 2017 in Lichfield (Fradley Park).

Role Profile
  • Reporting to the Training Manager

  • Ensure that a best in class HSE performance is achieved within the operation and that a culture of safety is embedded in everything we do

  • Embed and live the culture of the site and actively participate in developing an open / honest environment.

  • Be an RTITB MHE trainer

  • Be preferentially a Manual Handling Trainer

  • Develop, review and deliver SSOW training

  • Proactively undertaking training analysis seeking improvements in process / methods of operating.

  • Designing and developing appropriate training and supporting materials and measuring their continued effectiveness and whether they are fit for purpose.

  • Ensure all working procedures maintain legal compliance and are clearly defined and cascaded, with regular reviews to ensure effectiveness.

  • Ensuring all necessary resources are available for training to take place.

  • Giving feedback on any identified problems in the training content and/or process.

  • Reviewing and adjusting training methods as appropriate.

  • Effectively communicate to all stakeholders surrounding training requirements.

  • Undertaking direct training of colleagues.

Person Profile
  • Will have excellent team building and motivational skills

  • The ideal candidate should have working knowledge of the interaction between their own department and other key functions

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage own time

  • Very good written and verbal communication skills and well developed presentation skills

  • Confident and competent in the use of Microsoft office applications (eg; Word/Excel/Powerpoint/Outlook)

  • Able to build rapport rapidly and effectively with both internal and external customers

The Lichfield site will support the existing Stafford operation to provide seamless replenishment of over 3 million units per week to the Trade Counter retail network.
