We are looking for an Payroll/HR Administrator to join the HR team at Wolverhampton, reporting to the Senior HR Advisor

Job description -

  • Ensure the Payroll Department is provided with all relevant paperwork i.e. new starters, leavers, contract changes, absence, maternity and paternity and maintain employee files in conjunction with Payroll.

  • Update and maintain Time and Attendance system, be first point of contact to any pay enquiries, and support their resolution.

  • Provide daily handover to Senior HR Advisor on the end of shift.

  • Create HR files for all new hires and ensure that all documentation required as a condition of their employment and the on boarding process is present and completed.

  • Be responsible for all recruitment and induction administration from the point a vacancy arises to organising induction and ensuring all documentation is completed and archived.

  • Produce and provide HR reports and trackers by the required deadlines eg for holidays, absence, turnover,, lockers, uniforms, surveys etc.

  • Assist with co-ordinating in-house training courses, including sending out invitations, reserving and setting up rooms, preparing any relevant materials and updating training records on q-pulse.

  • Ensure noticeboards are up to date with HR communications as appropriate and required.

  • Provide Absence data and follow up to ensure Return to Work interviews are completed, escalate any issues to Senior HR Advisor and HR Officer.

  • Take minutes in disciplinary hearings, grievance hearings and other HR meetings as and when required.

  • Provide Basic Employment Law Advice.

    Successful applicant -

  • Be able to report daily tasks status, and have a team player approach

  • Be able to prioritize a busy workload and be flexible with regard to your working hours over busy periods.

  • Be self-motivated and work with often minimum supervision

  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate good communication skills as you will be liaising with your work colleges, and clients at all levels

  • It would be advantageous to have basic Employment Law knowledge, and/or previous administration experience, ideally in an HR environment
