Sales Manager – Industrial Microscopes (CC611-TJ)

Location: Home Based covering the Midlands

£45K - £60K Basic + £10-25K Bonus + Company Car + Travel Expenses + Pension + Laptop + Mobile + 25 Days (Rising with service) + Public Holidays + Benefits

My client is recognised as a global leader in the design, development and production of optical measurement and image analysis instrumentation for a wide range of applications.

They offer an extensive range of high quality solutions to meet the high demands of industries, spanning across healthcare, medicine, academia and materials/machinery production. They pride themselves on being the premier brand within their industry and have built a solid reputation across the globe for their innovative and dynamic approach.


You will be based from a home office and will be responsible for selling my client’s range of highly complex and multi-functional research equipment for the use in Academia (20%) and Industry (80%). Typical industry clients would include customers operating within sectors such as Automotive, Aerospace, Packaging, Coatings, Polymers and Metals.

Other responsibilities will include;

Managing and growing new (35%) and existing customers (65%).Implementing and creating new sales strategies.Promoting products at conferences, seminars and workshops.Achieving monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.Developing new business.Understanding customer needs and providing bespoke solutions. Building relationships with Professors, Engineers, Researchers and Technicians.Providing support to the dealer network across your assigned territory. Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date CRM.PERSONThe successful candidate MUST possess 1-2 years proven experience selling microscopes, image analysis systems or affiliated and have ideally operated within the Academia or Industrial sector.

A degree level education within a related discipline such as Material Science, Physics, or Biomedical sciences would be highly beneficial, but not essential.

A full UK driving license is required. Other key skills include:

    A mix of technical and business acumen.An understating of material development and testing.Competent use of Microsoft Office and Excel.Excellent communication skills.The ability to build trusting relationships with Professors and Researchers.
