Applications Engineer (6-12 month contract-potentially temp-perm)
This is initially a short-term (6-12 months) contract but my client is selling more integrated systems (robots & machines) so this could potentially go permanent
UK cover, West Midlands based - The current project is in Ireland so you would be spending much of your time out there for the duration of this project.
£49,000 per annum – plus company bonus and overtime. Also includes car, phone, laptop, pension, Healthcare, Bupa & Dental care etc….
Requirements:·Essential to have experience in Applications to be able to hit the ground running ·Essential to have Fanuc controls knowledge ·You will need to be flexible regarding a lot of travelling and staying away from home ·Experience in CNC Programming, setting & operating ·A confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels·Must be commercially aware, experience in dealing with customers a distinct requirement·Demonstrate knowledge of engineering principles, practices and methods, environmental regulations, workplace safety and employee/contractor supervision ·Good problem analysis, resolution and documentation skills
The Role:·A superb opportunity to be a key member for the Technical Support Specialists·Provide technical support throughout the UK·Perform issue related technical analysis, investigate and recommend possible solutions or work-around·Provide technical solutions for issues that their customers cannot yet solve themselves·Review technical configuration / specification·Preparation of feasibility studies and estimation of process time·Preparation and execution of tests with customer parts·Conduct high level machine operation and maintenance training to our customers·Create documentation for new product features and functions and share between their technical departments·Consolidate input for development of product enhancements or new products / functionalities·Conduct pre-sales activities including: cycle time studies, cutting trials, customer visits·Conduct post sales activities including: machine pre-delivery set-up, commissioning training, installation·Assist with setting up and supporting trade shows·You will be responsible to the technical manager for overall performance, and will travel within the UK and abroad
